About Us

Animal City started in Zimbabwe in 2015 with the purpose of rearing farm animals and growing food crops. We have a medium sized farm in the outskirts of the City of Bulawayo. Throughout the years, the company owners who are agriculturalists with specialization in intensive and extensive animal and crop husbandry, have gained a lot of entrepreneurial skills which they intend to put to good use for the future development of school children who visit our farm, with much emphasis on them to have an expanded comprehension of the world that surrounds them.

Our Farm

Our farm is the most convenient place in Bulawayo. The most fun, layed back, fresh air filled place to relax and see the greatness of nature.

School Field Trips

Your student will gain in-depth knowledge on Crop Husbandry and Animal Husbandry, Play with animals e.g. feeding rabbits. Variety of animals.

Farm Visits

Bring your family for a joyful day seeing and playing with the animals. Bring your children to see nature's greatest provision.

Vegetables

We sell all the best and fresh produce straight from the field. The best taste, the best quality produce. From tomatoes to cabbages, we have it all.

Animal Husbandry

Our animals are the best kept and best maintained. We make sure our animals are in the best condition for sell or even general meat butchery.

Bees and Honey

We produce the best honey , fresh and ready to eat. Our farm bases its integrity on its produce and We make sure our bees produce the best honey

Chickens and Road Runners

We have alot of chicken types/breeding. We have layer chickens that we keep for eggs and we have hens to increase our chick population to prove you with more chicken meat and more fun and joy playing and seeing our chickens

We have pigs the size of tables, very pig, healthy and very fun to see and play with. Piglets in abundance and very healthy because we take our farming seriously and very cautiously

We have an abundance of duck breeds at the farm with for you to see and have fun around. These ducks are used to people and will make your day. They are apart of our petting zoo

Quite a number of goats available at our farm. These are also included in our petting zoo, were kids can have fun and enjoy their company as they are all over the farm

Cute, fun rabbits that your kids will enjoy seeing and experiencing their company all over the farm. These rabbits are very kept well and healthy and we have them in abundance

Primary Schools

We have hosted primary schools allowing them not only to see the animals but to learn how to take care, grow and own their own animals for different eductional reasons. We also teach this growing individual group of kids how to be a farmer in this day and age

Pre-schools and creches

We have fun with every pre-school staff and child that comes to our farm. Giving them a chance to see our animals and feel comfortable holding them and being with them. We believe nature is nothing to be afraid of and therefore children should be allow to experience these gifts by nature

High Schools

Educating the youth to allow them to become the next farmer and then land profiting, business owners of the future. We have had the pleasure of helping out all the high schools that have come to our farm. Teaching them in agricultural education

Field Trips

Let your children learn from Agricultural experts and give them a better understanding of where their food comes from and how it is produced regardless of their social and economic circumstances.

  • We have two teachers with indepth knowledge of crop and animal husbandry and six ladies who cater for younger ages (Preschool to grade 4)
  • We are 25 kms from Bulawayo CBD along Harare Road
  • We have over 35 schools and 7500 student tours so far
  • We allow each school to bring disadvantaged students for free (Not be more than 10% of the paying students.
  • This is a place for all age students to come and have fun and learn -We have duck pond that they can relax and watch ducks play in the water
  • We have nice playground for students to roam around and play -We take professional photos for a small fee and provide both soft and hard copies
  • Schools can have small practical projects at our farm (e.g. a few vegetable beds or 10 broiler chickens the students can track from first day to maturity or ripening stage. Off course this will be zero expense to your school.

We believe

Exposing your children to different experiences expands their comprehension of the world that surrounds them. Bringing them to the farm exposes to them to the understanding that plants are grown and meat comes from animals. Based on their age, maturity and emotional sensitivity, we will introduce different concepts during your visit. For young toddlers, we may just ask them Identify animals and food. For older children, we may want to discuss scientific concepts. Farms offer so many opportunities for children to learn about science. Children are introduced to, agriculture by learning how animals thrive on a farm as well as what they eat and how they interact. In terms of cultivation of various crops, there is so much science involved in planting and growing fruits and vegetables.Interacting with living plants and animals provides a very rich, hands-on learning experience in which both formal and informal education can flourish.
